Introduction
To assist the Print Production Manager in achieving the department's production and administrative deadlines whist keeping accurate records thereof.
Job description
- Ensure all standard operating procedures for the production department are adhered to by contributing and sharing best practices that encourages continuous improvement and service delivery
- Maintain and update status report of print production workflow daily by monitoring and recording relevant information to ensure deadlines are met.
- Identify and/or followup with Traffic / Print Production Manager on any questionable instructions/briefs or quotes timeously to ensure continuity and quality standards are maintained..
- Assist in ensuring best pricing is received from suppliers [new and existing] by requesting quotations and negotiating for competitive price
- To prepare accurate Purchase Order requisitions for approval by various key stakeholders and to ensure timeous submission of approved orders to suppliers
- To develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, clients and team members through good communication
- Ensure finished work conforms to the orginal comprehensive design and specification by checking size requirements, colours, materials etc.
- Mantain the sample book [library] by updating pricing and specifications for both existing elements and proposals
- Provide administrative support to the print production Manager as needed by inter alia updating, distributing, maintaining status reports, correspondence, to ensure print production team's deliverables are met
- Maintain accurate records of the spend vs budget by campaign to ensure tracking against budget in order to provide feedback and monthly reports
Minimum requirements
Job Related Knowledge
- 3 years knowledge of retail procurement (Essential)
- 3 years print production trade (Essential)
Job Experience
- 3 -4 years within administrative role in retail or print job sector (Essential)
Education
- Diploma in Marketing (Desirable)
