Ba-Phalaborwa Golf Club is looking for a friendly, customer-focused and organised Pro Shop Assistant to join our team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist members and guests with enquiries, purchases and general assistance in the Pro Shop.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service at all times.
- Process sales and payments accurately using the POS system.
- Assist with managing stock, including receiving, checking, pricing and displaying merchandise.
- Maintain accurate stock records and assist with regular stock counts.
- Ensure the Pro Shop is clean, organised and well presented.
- Assist with golf bookings, tee times and related enquiries when required.
- Handle cash and card transactions responsibly.
- Assist with the sale of golf apparel, equipment, accessories and other merchandise.
- Monitor stock levels and report low-stock or damaged items to management.
- Assist with promotions, displays and merchandising.
- Resolve basic customer queries professionally and escalate matters when necessary.
- Provide general administrative support to the Golf/Pro Shop team.
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Previous retail, golf, hospitality or customer service experience will be advantageous.
- Knowledge or interest in golf will be an advantage.
- Experience using a POS system and handling cash will be advantageous.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good numerical and administrative skills.
- Customer-focused with a professional and friendly approach.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy environment.
- Reliable, well organised and able to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to work weekends and public holidays as required by golf club operations.
