Requirements

• Class II - V Process Controller Classification Certificate issued by

the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) in terms of

Regulation 3630 of 30 June 2023.

• Physically fit and able-bodied.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and in all

weather conditions.

• Valid driver’s licence.

Process Controller

• 1-2 years’ relevant plant operational experience, of which 2 years

must have been an Assistant Process Controller 3.

Bulk: Class II-IV Process Controller Classification Certificate

Waste: Class III-V Process Controller Classification Certificate

Senior Process Controller

• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant operational experience, of which

2 years must have been a Process Controller.

• Supervisory experience.

Bulk: Class III-IV Process Controller Classification Certificate

Waste: IV (Class B-E Works) -V (A works) Process Controller

Key Performance Areas

Process Controller

• Operate and monitor water treatment processes.
• Monitor plant performance and process efficiency.
• Conduct routine inspections and quality checks.
• Perform operational testing and process optimisation.
• Monitor and report on equipment performance.
• Execute first-line maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with SHREQ, Blue Drop and quality standards.
• Maintain operational records and reports.
• Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain plant housekeeping and safe working practices.

Senior Process Controller

• Supervise and coordinate water treatment plant operations.
