Process Maintenance Officer

In the Western Cape, HWT maintains and operates close to 100 water and waste water treatment plants. The functional complexity of each treatment plant varies from site to site. These water treatment plants require regular process check-ups.

The position of Process Maintenance Officer has been created to ensure smooth and compliant operation of each water treatment plant.

Duties required of the Process Maintenance Officer include;

1. Site visit.

2. Process monitoring and measurement

a. In situ measurements of pH, EC and ORP

b. Accurate data logging of hour and flow meters

3. Client liaison

4. Delivery and supplementation of water treatment chemicals

5. Sample collection for Laboratory analysis

The Process Maintenance Officer needs to have the following qualifications;

1. Valid South African Drivers License

2. IT skills such as use of Spreadsheets (Xcel) and email

3. Proficient language skills in particular English and Afrikaans

4. Willingness to repair or remove equipment such as pumps, float and electrical switches

HWT will provide on-site training including;

1. Treatment plant processes

2. Use of the HWT data collection App

3. Requisite SHEQ skills

Remuneration is commensurate with experience and skills.

Pay: From R15 000,00 per month
