M-Sure is seeking to employ a qualified and experienced Product and Pricing Specialist. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and highly skilled Finance team.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Risk and Analytics.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Product and Pricing specialist is a senior technical specialist responsible for building and leading pricing analytics, predictive modelling, portfolio analytics, and decision-science capabilities. The role translates complex data (claims, financials, customer behaviour, and operational data) into actionable insights that support pricing, product profitability, and strategic decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead pricing analytics, including claims frequency/severity, cost drivers, sensitivity analysis, and profitability reviews
• Develop and maintain statistical and predictive models (e.g., GLM/GAM) for risk segmentation, customer behaviour, retention, and financial performance
• Apply optimisation, simulation, and scenario modelling to improve pricing, operations, and portfolio outcomes
• Build portfolio monitoring dashboards and early-warning indicators to track performance, risks, and model drift
• Support dynamic pricing and decision engines, including model inputs, rules, and monitoring frameworks
• Ensure all models and analyses are well-documented, reproducible, explainable, and aligned with governance standards
• Translate technical outputs into clear recommendations for business stakeholders and decision forums
• Collaborate with Product, Finance, Claims, Technology, and external partners to embed analytics into business processes
• Support knowledge transfer and internal capability building

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Postgraduate degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field
• 6–10 years’ experience in data science, pricing analytics, actuarial modelling, or decision science (preferably in financial services/insurance)
• Experience with predictive modelling, optimisation techniques, and real-world data challenges
• Strong skills in Python, SQL, statistical modelling, and data visualisation (e.g., Power BI)
• Solid understanding of model governance, validation, and business application of analytics
