Job description

We are looking for a Product Coordinator to join our Warehouse & Logistics group; as we scale up and drive digital and financial inclusion across our markets.

About the Role

This is an operational role sitting at the intersection of program management and product marketing. You will coordinate multiple concurrent programs — from new device launches to internal process improvement initiatives — while ensuring that product content and marketing materials meet M-KOPA's standards before they reach internal and external audiences.

You will be the connective tissue between stakeholders across the supply chain organization, marketing, sales, and key external partners. That means owning meeting rhythms, tracking progress, and making sure the right people have the right information at the right time.

What You’ll Do

Program & Project Management

  • Manage multiple device programs simultaneously, spanning new product launches, internal operational improvement projects, and administration of a 12-month forward-rolling product roadmap. This includes specification management of the historically bought devices, the current devices that are being sold, and the devices under development.
  • Maintain program trackers across the programs, ensure action items are clearly assigned, dated, and followed up
  • Send weekly status updates and action notifications to relevant stakeholders after each program meeting
  • Coordinate with both internal teams and external partner stakeholders to keep workstreams aligned
  • Manage project deadlines across concurrent workstreams, flagging risks early and escalating blockers to the relevant owners
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings across internal and external stakeholders, update program timelines to reflect agreed outcomes, and distribute updated plans to all relevant parties in a timely manner

Compliance & Certification

  • Follow up on certification requirements across programs, obtain relevant documentation from internal teams, ODM partners, and test laboratories
  • Maintain a centralised repository of certification and regulatory documents for each device and market, including type approval, CE/RED declarations, safety reports, and regulator correspondence
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of playbooks covering local regulatory approval processes across M‑KOPA’s active markets (KE, UG, NG, GH, ZA), documenting process steps, timelines, responsible parties, and submission requirements

GTM & Testing Coordination

  • Drive GTM planning conversations with local sales teams, aligning on launch timings, market readiness milestones, and any country-specific requirements that could affect availability or positioning
  • Maintain overview of local testing requirements and results
  • Coordinate test schedules for device locking programs (including Kilpilock and Knox Guard), ensuring that integration testing, regression cycles, and sign-off stages are planned, resourced, and tracked to completion
  • Coordinate device firmware test schedules for new and in-market devices, working with ODM partners and internal QA to sequence OTA validation, security patch testing, and GMS recertification cycles

Product Marketing Support

  • Own the briefing process for new device launches into the marketing team, compiling and communicating accurate product specifications, key messages, and positioning inputs so that creative and content work can begin without delays
  • Apply a sharp eye for detail when reviewing marketing materials before external submission — checking accuracy, tone, consistency, and alignment with brand standards — to catch issues that would cause rejections or delays with approvers such as 3PL partners and Google
  • Coordinate the submission of marketing content to external approvers (including 3PL partners and Google), tracking status and ensuring submissions are progressed in time to meet launch dates; this role is not the final approver but is responsible for ensuring approvals are obtained from the right parties on schedule
  • When external approvers request changes or raise issues, translate that feedback clearly to the marketing team, brief in the required revisions, and track the rework through to resolution and resubmission — closing the loop on every round of feedback
  • Maintain a live tracker of all marketing deliverables per program, with visibility on briefing dates, submission status, approver feedback, revision cycles, and final sign-off — escalating anything at risk of delaying a launch

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Manage relationships with a mixed stakeholder group: internal teams and external commercial and technical partners
  • Prepare meeting agendas, capture minutes, and drive follow-through on commitments
  • Serve as the primary coordination point for ODM approval requests, receiving submissions from ODM partners and routing them to the correct internal teams (supply chain, legal, compliance, product, marketing) for review — then consolidating feedback and communicating a clear, timely response back to the ODM
  • Review ODM-submitted artwork and labelling materials — including device labels, box labels, in-box documentation, and packaging copy — either granting direct sign-off within scope or escalating to the relevant internal owner, ensuring nothing is sent to production without confirmed M‑KOPA approval.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong project and program management instincts — you track things, chase things, and close things
  • Excellent written communication; able to generate clear content and give precise, useful feedback
  • High attention to detail, especially when reviewing marketing or technical documentation
  • Comfort working across multiple priorities without dropping threads
  • PC proficiency, including working with trackers, presentations, and communication tools
  • A genuine interest in mobile technology — this role touches device launches, firmware processes, security features, and technical product development, so curiosity about how phones work is important
  • Ability to absorb and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in a supply chain, device, or technology environment
  • Exposure to product launch cycles or regulatory/certification workflows
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Notion, Asana, or similar
