Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Visit existing and prospective customers throughout Gauteng.
- Identify and develop new service and product-support opportunities.
- Sell forklift servicing, repairs, parts, batteries, tyres and maintenance contracts.
- Inspect equipment and gather the correct information required for quotations.
- Prepare or coordinate accurate quotations and follow up until an order is received.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and ensure regular site visits.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns, technical queries and customer complaints.
- Coordinate with service controllers, technicians, workshop staff and parts personnel.
- Monitor open quotations, outstanding orders and work in progress.
- Follow up with customers after repairs to confirm satisfaction.
- Identify machines requiring repairs, refurbishment or replacement.
- Promote preventative maintenance and maintenance agreements.
- Maintain accurate customer, equipment and opportunity information on the CRM system.
- Submit weekly activity, quotation, pipeline and sales reports.
- Achieve monthly sales, gross-profit and new-business targets.
- Assist with resolving account, warranty and service-related disputes.
- Represent the company professionally and comply with all health and safety requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 3–5 years’ experience in the forklift, materials-handling, automotive, earthmoving or related technical industry.
- Previous experience in product support, service sales, after-sales or technical sales.
- Good understanding of diesel, LPG and electric forklifts.
- Knowledge of forklift servicing, repairs, parts, batteries and tyres.
- Ability to understand technical reports and explain repair requirements to customers.
- Strong sales, negotiation and customer-service skills.
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Valid South African driver’s licence.
- Willing and able to travel throughout Gauteng.
- Matric/Grade 12 required.
- Technical qualification or trade background will be an advantage.

Pay: R11 981,17 - R30 000,00 per month
