Job Advert: Production Administrator
Position: Production Administrator
Industry: Manufacturing
Location: Phoenix, Industrial Park, Durban
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Production Administrator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and communicating production data to support operational efficiency, improve productivity, and reduce waste across all production departments.
Key Responsibilities
Production Data Capture
Capture and maintain accurate production scores for the following departments:
Production Analysis
Monitor and analyse daily production performance, including:
- Production input versus output
- Wastage analysis and reporting
- Machine breakdown tracking and reporting
- Identification of production trends and opportunities for improvement
Job Cards & Receipting Labels
- Prepare and issue job cards for all production sectors.
- Generate and distribute receipting labels across all departments.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and issued on time.
Performance Communication
Provide timely production information to supervisors, including:
- Daily production targets achieved
- Wastage control and variance reports
- Production performance updates
- Operational issues affecting productivity
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Production Management, Cost Management
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing or production environment (paper, printing, packaging, or stationery manufacturing will be advantageous).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with production reporting systems or ERP software will be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data capturing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
