Production Foreman

About the Opportunity

Well-established manufacturer within the trailer manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Production Foreman to lead production operations within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with strong production, welding and people management experience who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily production activities to ensure production targets are achieved.
• Plan, organise and control production workflows for maximum efficiency.
• Manage production schedules and optimise manufacturing capacity.
• Supervise production teams, allocate work and monitor productivity.
• Ensure continuous availability of materials to prevent production delays.
• Coordinate warehousing and movement of production components.
• Monitor quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
• Ensure welding and fabrication activities comply with engineering specifications and quality requirements.
• Manage staff attendance, overtime, performance and discipline.
• Conduct daily production meetings and communicate production requirements.
• Ensure machinery, equipment and tooling are maintained and available.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and enforce all Health & Safety standards.
• Liaise effectively with Production Planning, Quality, Logistics and Maintenance departments.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Tertiary Qualification in Production Management, Operations Management or related field. (essential)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of production planning and manufacturing processes.
• Computer literate (MS Office).
• Valid Code 8 driver's licence.
• Clear criminal record.
