Production Manager (Cookhouse)

Description

PSP Animal Feed, a part of the SSK Group, currently has a career opportunity at its Animal Feed Manufacturing plant in Cookhouse. The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for the effective management of the daily operations of the animal feed manufacturing plant

Responsibilities

• Proven experience in managing an animal feed manufacturing plant as well as knowledge of the production processes involved.
• Proven knowledge of the technical aspects related to the manufacturing plant.
• Good leadership and management skills.
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
• Management of operating expenses, implementation of strategies to achieve profitable goals as well as the preparation of budgets.
• Effective receipt and dispatch of stock.
• Good personnel management.
• Ensure that the effective maintenance and repair of all machinery and equipment is carried out in a timely manner.
• Good knowledge of all relevant quality and nutritional standards.
• Ensure that the plant complies with occupational safety and health requirements.

Requirements

• Possesses a Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
• A Production Management Diploma (NQF Level 6) will count in the applicant's favour.
• Five years of relevant Production Management experience.
• Computer literacy with a good knowledge of the MS Office software package.
• A valid Code EB (Code 08) driver's license is a requirement.
