Production Manager

Factory manager:

Well established Plastic bottle company based in Anchorville, Lenasia is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our team.

Requirements:

· Degree in business management, engineering, operations or related fields.

· At least 5 years experience in Blow molding and Injection blow molding. PET experience is an advantage.

· Drivers license.

· Must be proficient in English however speaking another South African language is an advantage.

· Strong knowledge of plastics manufacturing processes and equipment.

· Familiarity with regulations and relevant safety protocols

· Knowledge of business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, cost analysis and budgeting, people management, and leadership guidance

· Displays strong interpersonal skills and is accessible and approachable

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary in order to persuade and influence decision making of individuals, groups, or work teams

· Ability to utilize business sense and creativity to develop new ideas, approaches and solutions

Job description:

· Implementing innovative strategies for streamlining factory operations.

· Training, screening, and recruiting new factory workers in the machine operator division

· Collaborating with quality control managers to implement and maintain quality control processes.

· Ensuring that the factory machinery is in working order.

· Analysing production data to identify and fix production problems.

· Preparing production reports and submitting them to decision-makers.

· Planning your factory day routines.

· Meeting customer expectations and needs

· Supervising machine operators and maintenance team on the production floor.

· Giving high standards for the production line.

· Implementing production strategies maximise output

· Monitoring factory operations.

· Taking corrective actions when necessary

· Resolving any factory-related problems that arise

· Assigning tasks to the team and liaising with other departments to ensure production standards are met.

· Establishing and maintaining quality control standards.

· Implementing machine maintenance operations procedures

· Providing suggestions for improvements

· Preparing production reports and schedules.

· Presenting the reports to the top management.

· Training new employees.

· Inspecting the finished product’s quality.

· Establishing solid relationships with clients.

Pay: R30 000,00 - R400 000,00 per month
