Production Planner

A well-established casket and wood furniture manufacturing company based in Phoenix, Industrial Park seeks to employ the services of a well experienced ,qualified Production planner;

Duties & responsibilities include but is not limited to;

• Oversee production planning
• Determine production requirements based on plant capacity and production specifications.
• Plan work flow and schedules for the production departments.
• Monitor production status and ensure timely delivery.
• Identify delays and accordingly adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
• Conduct daily meetings to keep track of production schedules.
• Determine equipment, raw materials and manpower required to complete production.
• Resolve production issues and escalate unresolved issues to management promptly.
• Schedule shift according to production needs.
• Monitor jobs to ensure they finish on time and within budget.
• Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.
• Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
• Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
• Keep paperwork organized.
• Collaborate with quality control, warehouse and other staff.
• Minimum stock levels (stock levels).
• Planning and prioritizing production to ensure that there is maximum performance and minimum delays
• Determine manpower , equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
• Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products
• Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
• Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
• Prepare and submit status and performance reports

Educational & job requirements include but is not limited to;

• Relevant certification /qualification in Production Planning, Coordination & Management
• Grade 12(Matric)
• Excellent Computer & Admin skills
• Fluent Communication (Verbal & Written)
• 5 years or more production planning experience within the same or similar field of work
• Ability to work with no supervision
