VACANY: PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

A growing manufacturing company in Kuruman is seeking an experienced and hands-on Plant Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our cleaning chemicals and disinfectants manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and compliant production while maintaining product quality, production targets and operational discipline.

Education and Qualifications

• A Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Production Management, Chemical Manufacturing or a related field.
• Valid Code B driver's licence and own vehicle.

Experience and Technical Requirements

• At least 3–5 years' experience in a manufacturing, chemical production, supply chain or operational environment.
• Experience supervising production or operational staff.
• Experience with production planning, stock control and the coordination of raw material requirements.
• Knowledge of chemical handling, production processes and workplace safety requirements.
• Understanding of quality control, inventory management and operational procedures.
• Good computer/ use of ERP systems and administrative skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily plant and manufacturing activities.
• Plan and monitor production schedules to ensure production targets are achieved.
• Oversee the manufacturing, batching, mixing, filling, packaging and storage of cleaning chemicals and disinfectants.
• Ensure correct handling, storage and use of raw materials and chemicals.
• Monitor production processes and ensure compliance with approved formulations, work instructions and quality requirements.
• Ensure accurate production records, batch records and stock usage documentation are maintained.
• Monitor raw material and finished product stock levels and report variances.
• Conduct and/or coordinate quality checks and ensure non-conforming products are properly managed.
• Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental and chemical handling requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

Preference may be given to suitably qualified candidates residing in or around Kuruman and the surrounding Northern Cape area.
