Packers & Machine Operators – Woodstock, Cape Town
Overall Purpose of the Role:
Hi Fiber Foods t/a Gango Maize Popcorn is expanding its Production Division and is looking for reliable, physically fit candidates for food packing and machine operation roles. Training will be provided.
Location: Woodstock, Cape Town
Start Date: As soon as possible
Main Duties:
- Machine Operators: Safely operate heavy production machinery after training and report machine problems.
- Packers: Sieve, pack, seal and label food products.
- Both roles: Check product quality, keep work areas clean and follow safety rules.
Requirements – Packers:
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
- Careful and accurate when packing and labelling.
- Previous packing or factory experience is an advantage.
Requirements – Machine Operators:
- Physically fit and comfortable operating heavy machinery after training.
- Able to move bags weighing up to 50 kg, using lifting equipment or team assistance where required.
- Previous machine operation or factory experience is an advantage.
Requirements – Both Roles:
- Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious and willing to learn.
- Comfortable working in a hot, noisy factory.
- Available for shifts and overtime when required.
- Flexible and willing to assist with loading, offloading and general duties across departments.
- Appointment is subject to a satisfactory criminal background check relevant to the role.
