PROFESSIONAL LAND SURVEYOR / GEOMATICS PROFESSIONAL

Fundisani Construction and Projects (Pty) Ltd is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Professional Land Surveyor / Geomatics Professional for civil engineering, pipeline and infrastructure projects.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geomatics, Land Surveying, Surveying or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Relevant Geomatics/Geometrics certification.
• Current valid professional registration with the South African Geomatics Council (SAGC) in an appropriate category.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant surveying experience.
• Proven experience in civil engineering, bulk water, pipeline and infrastructure construction.
• Competent in the use of Total Stations, GPS/GNSS, digital/automatic levels and other modern survey equipment.
• Proficiency in relevant surveying, CAD and data-processing software.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, coordinates, profiles and construction specifications.
• Valid driver's licence.
• The successful candidate must be competent and professionally authorised, where applicable, to:
• Establish, verify and maintain survey control networks, control points and benchmarks.
• Perform construction setting-out from approved engineering drawings and coordinates.
• Set out pipeline routes, centre-lines, trenches, chambers, valves, fittings, structures and associated civil works.
• Transfer and verify levels, coordinates, gradients, offsets, depths and alignments.
• Carry out topographical, detail and construction surveys.
• Independently check survey calculations and setting-out information before construction proceeds.
• Verify and certify survey information where permitted by the candidate's professional registration and applicable legislation.
• Record the final position, coordinates, levels and dimensions of completed works.
• Prepare accurate as-built survey data for incorporation into final as-built drawings.
• Compile survey reports, coordinate schedules, field records and supporting documentation.
• Provide survey information for measurement and verification of completed construction quantities.
• Identify and report discrepancies between site conditions, design drawings and survey information.
• Maintain traceable survey records for quality-control and project handover purposes.

PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION

Valid upto date SAGC registration is required.
