Maternal, Adolescent & Child Health Institute NPC, (MatCH) is a non-profit organisation supporting public sector health services. MatCH implements donor funded projects to improve HIV and TB outcomes through providing technical assistance and direct service delivery support. MatCH is looking for suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions under a project aimed at Achieving and Sustaining HIV/TB Epidemic Control in the KwaZulu Natal Province

Location: Harry Gwala District

Type of Contracts: Fixed Term Contracts ending 31 December 2026

Main purpose of the job

The incumbents will provide quality primary health care. Activities will include the clinical management of patients, site assessments, quality improvement and training and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide clinical services for HIV and TB according to the National and Provincial Department of Health (DoH) policy, guidelines and standard operational procedures

· Provide support for the integration of HIV/TB services

· Provide on-site mentorship and training to health care workers on quality improvement and clinical care

· Ensure patient records are accurate and complete

· Conduct files audits and clinical reviews and develop remediation plans to address any gaps identified

· Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on clinical services

· Identify and document good facility practices from implemented Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) activities

· Conduct transition readiness assessments and develop action plans

· Participate in the facility's bi-weekly and monthly review meetings

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

· Diploma in Nursing

· SANC registration

· 2 years relevant experience in public sector HAST services

· Valid Driver’s License

Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities

· Experience in a donor funded organisation and PEPFAR funded programmes desirable

· Ability to work in a high-pressure environment

· Knowledge of Quality Improvement methodologies

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office

· Attention to detail

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Willingness to travel

· Available to commence work immediately
