Project Accountant

Project Accountant| Terrace Africa | Johannesburg

Terrace Africa, a leading property development company operating across the African continent, is looking for a Project Accountant to join our Johannesburg team.

This is a hands-on role at the heart of our Project Accounting function — managing procurement processes, creditor accounts, and financial reporting for the properties we develop and manage.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing vendor onboarding, approvals and payments on Sage X3
• Overseeing PO loading, approvals and creditor invoice processing
• Reconciling creditor accounts and preparing monthly Age Analysis reports
• Supporting cashflow forecasting and monthly management reporting packs
• Reconciling GL accounts and clearing project cost queries
• Liaising with the development team, contractors, suppliers and the professional team
• Assisting with budget input, variance analysis and cost-reduction initiatives

What we're looking for:

• A degree in Finance or related field
• 2–3 years' experience in a similar finance/project accounting role
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• A proactive, solutions-driven approach to process improvement

Nice to have: Sage X3 experience is a strong advantage.
