Project Lead

The core purpose of the position is to: Always act in accordance to the Asset Management & Company Policy

The core purpose of the position is to be able to manage the administration and coordination of various resources & tools in the implementation of small to large scale projects in a cost-effective manner and against pre-defined timelines, using asset control and management of human resources.

Key Responsibilities

ADMINISTRATION (20%)

· Record and maintain project issues, costs, risks, scope and schedule changes and resource management issues

· Serve as a project librarian, keeping accurate records of project documentation

· Manage and coordinate project meetings and record/maintain meeting minutes when necessary

· Liase with internal departments to ensure that relevant project hardware are available in relevant regions

· Complete invoicing

· Complete feasibilites

· Able to support and back-up project manager when needed

CLIENT MANAGEMENT (Internal and External) (20%)

· Communicate project delays and risks

o Telephonic and email correspondence

· Provide daily accurate feedback and reports as required

· Supply relevant project documentation when and if required

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES (15%)

· Document and maintain SOP’s – Standard Operating Procedures

REPORTS (15%)

· Run reports to communicate progress and project performance to the relevant Internal and External audiences

· Provide updates and support in the development of daily and weekly reports, dashboards and other communications

SCHEDULE (15%)

· Maintain project work and resource schedules on a weekly basis

· Manage project work and resourse schedules on a daily basis

· Confirm relevant scope of work with resources

CONTRACTOR MANAGEMENT (5%)

· Supply contractor purchase orders when and if needed

· Confirm project schedule with contractor

· Communicate changes in schedule to contractor

· Complete Contractor payment instruction

Minimum requirements

· Driver’s License

· Valid South African ID

· Matric with a tertiary qualification in Project Management or similar qualification advantageous

· Minimum of 2 Year project management experience including:

· Knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources, including monitoring and inspecting costs, work, and contractor performance.

· Excellent computer literacy (MS Word, Outlook, Excel & Wrike/MS Projects advantageous

Job Types: Temporary, Full-time

Pay: R13 000,00 - R16 000,00 per month
