Role Purpose Responsible for managing and coordinating strategic projects across Group Human Capital. The role ensures successful planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of key Human Capital initiatives by maintaining robust project governance, stakeholder alignment, and effective resource management.
The incumbent will play a critical role in driving project delivery excellence, ensuring that initiatives are implemented according to agreed timelines, budgets, and objectives. In addition, the role is accountable for coordinating the delivery of strategic Human Capital reporting, ensuring that stakeholders meet reporting requirements and deadlines, and that reporting effectively communicates the Group's People Strategy, progress, and outcomes.
Requirements

Relevant qualifications in B.Com Human Resources, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.

Proficiency in Project Management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management, preferably within a Human Capital environment.

Proven track record of managing HR-related projects from inception to completion.
Duties & Responsibilities****Project Planning and Execution:
-
Partner with the relevant functional areas and the Group Chief People Executive to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success measures.

Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and resource requirements.

Manage project execution from initiation through to completion, ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes and quality standards.

Monitor adherence to project schedules and implement corrective actions where required.

Ensure projects align with Group Human Capital priorities and strategic objectives.

Translate the Group Human Capital People Strategy into executable initiatives.

Support the implementation and optimisation of HC technology and digital solutions.
Stakeholder Management:
-
Partner with various functional areas to support their project requirements and to provide an overview of projects and initiatives across the GHC portfolio.

Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations.

Facilitate communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and addressing any issues or concerns.

Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

Proactively identify and resolve project-related issues and stakeholder concerns.
Risk Management:

Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies and develop appropriate mitigation plans.

Establish project governance processes and ensure compliance with agreed project methodologies.

Monitor project progress and implement interventions to address project delays, risks, or resource challenges.
Resource Management:
-
Allocate and manage resources effectively to ensure project objectives are met.

Coordinate with internal and external resources to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and aligned with goals.
Strategic Reporting Coordination:

Manage and coordinate the delivery of all Group Human Capital reporting requirements.

Maintain reporting schedules and proactively track reporting deadlines.

Engage stakeholders to ensure timely submission of reporting inputs that meet required quality and governance standards.

Support the Group Chief People Executive in managing the delivery of strategic reporting. This will entail close management of the relevant stakeholders to submit input for reports on time and in line with required standards.

Close working relationship with the Head: Employee Experience and Engagement to ensure that the final product of reports is reflective of agreed standards and tells the People story effectively and efficiently.

Leverage workforce and project data to provide strategic insights and recommendations.

Partner with the Group Human Capital Business Manager to support data storytelling for Exco, Board and governance reporting.
Performance Tracking and Reporting:

Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Prepare and present project updates, performance reports, risks, and recommendations to leadership teams and governance forums.

Ensure transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across all projects.
