Job description
Location: Mpumalanga Province
Contract: Fixed-Term / Project-Based – 6 Months
Remunaration: R20 000 - R25 000
Commencement Date: ASAP
A construction company is seeking a Projects & Resource Planner to support the effective planning, coordination and allocation of resources for a project based in Mpumalanga.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules and work plans.
- Coordinate the allocation and availability of labour, equipment and other project resources.
- Monitor resource requirements against project activities and timelines.
- Coordinate with project management, supervisors and relevant stakeholders to ensure resources are available when required.
- Track project progress and identify potential resource or scheduling constraints.
- Maintain accurate planning, scheduling and resource records.
- Assist with daily and weekly project planning.
- Manage site cost control, purchasing, and logistics to ensure material is allocated accordingly on site
- Synchronise quality and material
- Prepare planning updates and reports as required.
- Escalate resource shortages, scheduling conflicts and potential delays to the relevant manager.
- Provide general planning and administrative support to the project team.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Project Management , Quantity Surveying, NDip in Building or Civil or related.
- Proven experience in Ms projects or equivalent, project planning, resource planning, scheduling or a similar role.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Driver’s License and willingness to Travel extensively
- Estimation Skills
- Experience with MS Project or similar planning software will be advantageous.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Previous project/site experience will be advantageous.
