Division: Skills Development Planning (Projects)

Location: HWSETA Head Office, Bedfordview

Employment Type: Permanent

Salary Range: R644 144 – R828 437 per annum (Total Cost to Company)

About the Role

HWSETA is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Projects Officer to plan, coordinate and monitor the implementation of Skills Development Planning (SDP) projects nationally and provide support to provincial offices through capacity building, project monitoring, compliance management and stakeholder support.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Supporting the implementation of projects and operational plans within the Projects sub-division.
• Coordinating project monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure compliance and quality standards.
• Conducting audits, identifying project risks and recommending corrective actions.
• Assisting with audit processes and responding to internal and external audit requests.
• Designing and implementing capacity-building initiatives for provincial personnel and stakeholders.
• Evaluating project proposals and making recommendations in line with HWSETA strategic objectives and compliance requirements.
• Supporting the implementation of PIVOTAL and discretionary grant-funded projects.
• Coordinating and monitoring project payments and ensuring compliance with Memoranda of Agreement (MoAs).
• Providing stakeholder support, guidance and advocacy relating to projects and funding initiatives.
• Consolidating project reports and collaborating with RIME to improve project effectiveness and outcomes.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Training and Development, Human Resources Development, or Financial Management.
• Valid Driver's Licence.
• Own vehicle will be advantageous.

Experience

• 4–6 years' experience in project management.
• SETA or project coordination experience.
