The Cape Town Zombie Walk is an iconic, large-scale annual charity event and festival that brings thousands of participants together to support local animal welfare initiatives. Driving awareness and community participation for an event of this scale requires a high-energy, creative, and proactive approach to public engagement.

We are seeking a results-driven Event Promoter to join our internal team based in Cape Town. In this role, you will be the boots-on-the-ground voice of the festival—executing street-level marketing, coordinating local community activations, distributing promotional materials, and maximizing public engagement across the city to drive event attendance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Public Engagement & Awareness: Conduct active, face-to-face promotional drives at key Cape Town locations, high-foot-traffic areas, and community hubs to generate excitement for the upcoming event.
• Material Distribution: Coordinate the placement and distribution of physical marketing assets, including event posters, flyers, and banners at authorized local businesses and venues.
• Community Activations: Assist with organizing and executing local pop-up promotions, flash mobs, and pre-event marketing activations across the Cape Town region.
• Ticket & Merchandise Promotion: Share accurate information regarding event schedules, route maps, safety rules, and official merchandise options with the public.
• Database & Feedback Tracking: Gather basic feedback and participant insights during promotional drives, logging daily engagement updates on internal tracking sheets (Excel/Google Sheets).

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Promotional or Sales Experience: Proven experience as an Event Promoter, Brand Ambassador, Field Marketing Representative, or in a similar customer-facing sales/promotional environment.
• High Energy & Strong Presence: An outgoing, confident, and highly charismatic personality with a natural ability to approach people and capture an audience's attention.
• Excellent Communication: Exceptional verbal English communication skills, with the ability to convey event details clearly, passionately, and professionally.
• Resilience & Drive: A self-motivated work ethic with the physical stamina required for active field-marketing days across various Cape Town locations.
• Location & Mobility: Must be permanently based in the Cape Town region to execute local street-level campaigns and event footprint activations.
