Job Description
We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented individual who is passionate about hospitality, property management, and guest experiences to join our team in Langebaan.
As a Property Host, you will manage short-term rental properties and serve as the face of our local operations. Your role involves overseeing the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall guest satisfaction for each assigned property. You will work closely with your own cleaning staff and other local service providers to ensure smooth, high-standard property management. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining pristine standards and enjoys working independently.
What You Will Do:
Guest Communication & Support
- Act as the main point of contact for guests during their stay.
- Promptly respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and handle special requests.
- Provide comprehensive property information, check-in/check-out details, and local recommendations.
Property Management
- Oversee cleanliness and overall presentation across all assigned properties.
- Coordinate cleaning schedules and maintain necessary property supplies.
- Monitor essential safety features, including locks and smoke detectors.
Enhance Guest Experience
- Personalize guest stays with welcome packages and local guides.
- Collect guest feedback and identify continuous opportunities to improve our services.
- Go the extra mile to ensure memorable and seamless guest stays.
Property Maintenance Coordination
- Handle minor, basic maintenance issues when necessary.
- Promptly notify the portfolio manager of any property damages or major maintenance concerns.
What You Will Need (Requirements):
- Proven experience in hospitality, property management, or customer service (short-term rental experience is highly preferred).
- Your own reliable cleaning staff and the proven ability to manage property turnovers efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm and resourceful under pressure.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required by guest check-ins.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
