Job description
Job Purpose
To lead and grow Lesaka EasyPay's Sales & Distribution operations within an allocated province by driving customer acquisition, revenue generation, customer retention, operational excellence, and market penetration across all products and services.
The Provincial Head is accountable for achieving Lesaka EasyPay's sales, profitability, customer growth, and strategic objectives within the province through effective leadership and execution.
The role is responsible for expanding Lesaka EasyPay's provincial footprint, driving customer acquisition, increasing product utilisation, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and ensuring sustainable revenue growth across all distribution channels.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership and Business Growth
- Develop and execute provincial sales and distribution strategies aligned to national business objectives.
- Deliver provincial sales, revenue, and profitability targets.
- Drive customer acquisition, retention, and portfolio growth across all products and services.
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities within targeted markets and communities.
- Drive increased product penetration and utilisation within existing customer bases.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify opportunities and risks.
- Ensure consistent execution of sales campaigns, promotions, and strategic initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, community leaders, and business partners.
- Develop and implement action plans to address underperforming areas and improve overall provincial performance.
- Ensure effective management of the sales pipeline to support sustainable growth.
- Operational Excellence
- Ensure effective execution of operational standards across all regions and teams within the province.
- Drive operational efficiency and service excellence.
- Monitor customer service standards and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure adherence to all operational policies, procedures, and service delivery frameworks.
- Resolve escalated operational matters impacting business performance.
- Ensure optimal utilisation of resources across the province.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and customer experience.
- Monitor operational performance metrics and implement improvement plans where required.
- People Management and Leadership
- Create and maintain a high-performance culture.
- Lead, motivate, coach, and develop Area Managers and provincial teams.
- Drive employee engagement and foster a culture of accountability.
- Build leadership capability and succession pipelines across the province.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and development discussions.
- Ensure performance management processes are applied consistently and fairly.
- Identify training and development requirements and implement appropriate interventions.
- Promote collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company values, policies, and behavioural standards.
- Manage workforce planning and resource requirements effectively.
- Stakeholder Management
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery of business objectives.
- Engage with key customers, strategic partners, community stakeholders, and business forums to support growth initiatives.
- Represent Lesaka EasyPay in provincial engagements and stakeholder forums.
- Resolve escalated customer and stakeholder concerns effectively.
- Foster collaboration between Sales, Operations, Compliance, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, and Product teams.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships that support sales growth and customer value.
- Financial Management
- Manage provincial sales and operating budgets.
- Drive sustainable revenue growth and profitability.
- Monitor budget utilisation and cost efficiencies.
- Review provincial financial performance and implement corrective actions where required.
- Contribute to annual planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
- Ensure effective allocation of resources to maximise returns and productivity.
- Drive financial discipline and accountability across the province.
- Continuously assess performance against financial targets and strategic objectives.
- Risk, Governance and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, legislative, and company requirements.
- Promote a strong risk and governance culture across the province.
- Ensure all employees complete mandatory compliance and regulatory training.
- Monitor adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Manage and resolve escalated compliance and risk-related matters.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Ensure implementation and closure of audit findings within agreed timelines.
- Maintain adherence to FAIS, FICA, POPIA, AML, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Minimise operational, financial, and reputational risk through effective governance practices.
