QA/QC Manager (Welding, Fabrication & Corrosion Protection)

Experience, Aptitudes and Qualification Requirements

1. Essential

• Trade Tested Artisan in Boiler making/Welding (Red Seal or equivalent) welding Inspector / corrosion protection Inspector Certification (or equivalent internationally recognized qualification).
• Proven experience in QA/QC management systems (AWS, BS, ASME, ISO, standards).
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate material, welding, NDT, Corrosion protection, and delivery activities over and above quality control and assurance criteria.
• Strong technical literacy skills for drawing comprehension, QCPs, ITPs, audit reports, and handover documentation in fabrication and field construction.
• Experience in corrosion protection inspection, paint specification approvals, and coating guarantees. Ability to lead audits, manage non-conformances, and ensure compliance with QMS requirements and client specifications.
• Effective communication with engineers, project managers, contractors, suppliers, and organization team on technical matters.

2. Beneficial

• Experience in structural steel fabrication, corrosion protection on and off-site erection and roof sheeting installation.
• Familiarity with commissioning, punch lists, and final handover processes.
• Knowledge of steel materials grade of all types and bolt fixing certification and general understanding on bolt management standard practices and tolerances.
• Exposure to multi-disciplinary site coordination (fabrication, welding, painting, erection, sheeting).
• Proficiency in collaborative stakeholder communication and project reporting.
• Experience with supplier/sub-contractor quality file reviews and sub-contractor invoicing processes.
• Strong Computer literacy skills with Microsoft Programmes and 3D Model viewing such as, Excel, Word, Projects, Power point.

Pay: R16 000,00 - R26 000,00 per month
