Job Title: Qualified Automotive Technician – Petrol / Diagnostics

Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: R15000 – R20000 per month + performance-based commission
(OTE R22,000 – R30,000/month for a productive technician)

We operate three established, well-equipped workshops in Cape Town — We're not a one-man backyard setup. We run structured operations with proper systems, clear workflows, and a KPI-based commission structure that rewards technicians who deliver quality work consistently.
The Role
We're hiring a qualified, experienced technician who can work across petrol mechanical repairs, fault diagnostics, and electrical systems. You'll be expected to handle jobs from routine servicing through to complex fault-finding — not just oil changes and brake pads.
What You'll Be Doing
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
- Performing repairs, servicing, and maintenance on a range of vehicle makes
- Completing digital job reports including fault descriptions, parts used, and technician notes
- Communicating clearly with service advisors on job progress and additional work required
- Maintaining a clean, organized bay and following workshop safety standards
What We're Looking For
- Trade-tested Motor Mechanic qualification (Red Seal required)
- Minimum 3 years' workshop experience on passenger vehicles
- Competent with diagnostic scan tools and electrical fault-finding — not just mechanical
- Ability to work independently and manage your own bay efficiently
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in how you deal with colleagues and customers
- Valid driver's license
