Purpose Of The Job: Our client is looking for a Qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team. They are a well-established company within the transport industry, specializing in providing reliable and efficient vehicle hire services. In this role you will help ensure the smooth operation of the fleet by working effectively in the team and ensuring timely vehicle repairs and minimizing downtime.

POSITION INFO: Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services on diesel engines and related components Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and machinery to ensure proper operation Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems and provide solutions for repair Replace faulty components, such as fuel pumps, filters, and turbochargers Engine and gearbox assembly Ensure all repairs comply with safety and regulatory standards Maintain a clean and organized work area Keep accurate records of maintenance work and parts used Respond to breakdowns and provide on-site repairs when necessary Work effectively with the team to ensure timely vehicle repairs and minimize downtime Requirements: Qualified Diesel Mechanic Red Seal Experience with Hydraulics and Electrical systems 2-3 years Prior experience in a transport or logistics environment Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with a strong understanding of diesel engine systems Experience in repairing and maintaining large commercial vehicles, including trucks and trailers Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical issues Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure A valid driver's license, with a clean driving record Ability to work overtime and be on standby as required Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude Motor Industry experience Essential!!
