JOB TITLE: Qualified Diesel and Petrol Mechanic
LOCATION: Brits, North West
COMPANY: TBS Workshop
JOB TYPE: Full-time
TBS Workshop is looking for an experienced and reliable Diesel and Petrol Mechanic to join our workshop team in Brits. The successful candidate must be able to diagnose, service and repair both diesel and petrol vehicles while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on diesel and petrol vehicles Perform vehicle servicing, maintenance and general mechanical repairs Repair or replace engines, brakes, suspension, steering and other components Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults accurately Conduct vehicle inspections and test drives Complete assigned work efficiently and within the required time Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts used Keep the workshop and working area clean and organised Follow all workshop health and safety procedures Communicate clearly with the workshop manager regarding repairs and additional work required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Recognised Motor Mechanic qualification or relevant trade certificate Proven experience working on both diesel and petrol vehicles Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Good knowledge of engines, braking systems, suspension and vehicle electrical systems Ability to use automotive diagnostic tools and workshop equipment Valid South African driver’s licence Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, punctual and honest Good attention to detail Contactable employment references
ADVANTAGEOUS
- Qualified or trade-tested motor mechanic Experience working in a busy automotive workshop Experience repairing different vehicle makes and models Knowledge of modern vehicle diagnostic systems
REMUNERATION
Market-related and dependent on qualifications and experience.
