Requirements
- Qualified mechanic with trade test certificate.
- Must have own Tools
- Must have own transport
- Code 14 Drivers License
- 5-10 years’ experience repairing trucks and trailers
- Basic electrical
- Panel beating and spray painting an advantage
- Understand at least 2 Official Languages
Responsibilities
- Servicing of trucks and trailers
- Overhaul clutch
- Overhaul brakes
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
- Keep logs of work and report on issues
- Repairs to truck and trailer bodies
- Trace and repair air leaks on trailers.
- Change tyres
- Purchasing truck parts
