Qualified Electrician (Construction and General Maintenance)
We are seeking a **qualified and experienced electrician** to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for issuing **Certificates of Compliance (CoC)**, performing electrical installations in construction projects, and handling general electrical maintenance. This role requires a professional with a strong background in construction site setups, compliance with SANS 10142 standards, and proven hands-on experience in both residential and commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct electrical installations for new builds, renovations, and construction projects.
- Issue and sign off **Certificates of Compliance (CoC)** in line with regulatory requirements.
- Perform routine and emergency electrical maintenance across facilities.
- Set up electrical layouts for construction sites, including temporary power supply.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently and safely.
- Ensure all work complies with **South African National Standards (SANS)** and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades on site.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Requirements
- **Qualified Electrician** with valid trade test certification.
- Registered to issue **CoC** (must hold a Wireman’s License).
- Minimum of **5 years’ experience** in electrical construction and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of **SANS 10142 wiring code** and compliance standards.
- Proven experience in construction site setup and electrical layouts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
