Job description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality assurance and compliance initiatives in the Pest Control and Hygiene division in the Western Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with legislative and customer requirements, and maintaining the highest standards of service delivery.

This role requires a proactive leader who can partner with customers and service teams to improve quality performance, manage audits, implement corrective actions, and provide technical guidance across the business.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Develop, implement and maintain Quality Assurance and Compliance programmes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operational teams.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and customer-specific requirements.
  • Monitor quality performance and identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage non-conformance and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Coordinate internal, external and third-party audits.
  • Ensure audit findings are addressed and closed within agreed timeframes.
  • Prepare accurate reports and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide technical advice and quality support to customers and operational teams.
  • Respond professionally and timeously to customer queries.
  • Partner with customers to achieve required compliance and service standards.
  • Operational Excellence
  • Conduct quality audits across customer sites.
  • Evaluate service delivery against agreed standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and quality performance.
  • Support service teams in achieving customer and regulatory compliance.

Training & Development

  • Identify training needs across service teams.

  • Facilitate quality, compliance and technical training for Pest Control Technicians and Service Managers.

  • Conduct competency assessments and monitor training effectiveness.

  • Promote adherence to company policies, procedures and best practices.

  • Reporting & Governance

  • Compile detailed audit reports and management reports.

  • Present quality trends, risks and improvement opportunities.

  • Support management review meetings.

  • Ensure compliance with POPIA and company governance standards.

  • Grade 12 (Matric).

  • Valid Pest Control Certificate and P-Registration.

  • Valid driver's licence.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Pest Control Technician.

  • Sound knowledge of Quality Assurance principles and audit requirements.

  • Good understanding of the Pest Control and Hygiene industry.

  • Knowledge of Total Quality Management (TQM) systems.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Customer-focused with a strong service orientation.
  • Sound stock management and inventory control skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
