Job Function

• To assist and maintain aspects of the Quality Management System, adhering to SA GMP requirements and those of the Office of Global Quality.
• To provide support to the business by timeous review of products for release.
• To assist with Quality Complaints Investigations.
• To review and authorize Non-conformance Reports, Change Controls and complete Master Batch Documentation Review.
• To ensure that the QA Database is accurately maintained.

Primary Responsibilities

Product Release & Supply

• Ensure timeous QA release of imported and locally manufactured batches, confirming compliance with all regulatory commitments.
• Process Narcotics Import/Export Permits and conduct annual reconciliations.
• Manage Retention Samples in line with regulatory and company requirements.

Product Launch

• Assist Quality Lead with activities related to product launch.
• Support laboratory onboarding, Analytical Method Transfer, and PIT readiness.

Vendor Management

• Qualification and verification of national and international CMOs and local laboratories.
• Manage the audit program.
• Draft and review Quality Technical Agreements.
• Review BMR/BPR, stability & validation protocols/reports, and QC documentation for accuracy and dossier compliance.
• Review and approve Third‑Party Change Controls.

Technology Transfer

• Assist Quality Lead with activities associated with Tech Transfer

QMS Management

• Draft and review SOPs.
• Review and approve master documents.
• Conduct Annual Product Reviews.
• Review deviations, non‑conformances, and investigations.
• Manage change controls, quality complaints, and training.
• Oversee Critical Quality Notifications and the Quality Action System.

Project & Metrics Management

• Manage allocated projects as required.
• Complete monthly Quality Metrics reports

Other Duties

• Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by Senior Management.

• PIC/S regulations (Pharmaceutical Inspection Co‑operation Scheme)
• Quality Assurance and Quality Control principles

• Requirements of relevant Acts and regulations governing the pharmaceutical industry

Minimum Requirements

Manufacturing/Quality Environment: Minimum of 1 years’ working experience in a GMP‑aligned manufacturing and/or quality environment.

Commercial Quality Function: Minimum of 2 years’ working experience in a commercial quality function at MAH level.
