Beekman Canopies is looking for a Quality Controller to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet Beekman’s required quality standards before progressing to the next stage of production. The role requires someone who is detail-oriented, quality-conscious and able to identify and resolve potential quality issues.

Requirements & Experience

• Grade 12
• 2–3 years’ experience in fibreglass canopy manufacturing
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• In-depth understanding of quality standards and procedures
• Good knowledge of Beekman products
• Keen attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Good administrative skills
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
• Customer-oriented approach

Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect and test canopies for defects according to Beekman quality standards
• Conduct internal quality audits and complete daily reports
• Identify early indications of increases or trends in defects and assist with determining the root cause
• Investigate and resolve quality-related issues within required deadlines
• Work closely with Department Managers to implement corrective actions to address defects
• Recommend improvements to production processes to ensure quality standards are consistently maintained
• Approve products according to the required quality standard before they move to the next department
• Ensure compliance with established quality procedures and standards

The successful candidate will receive the necessary training to equip them with the knowledge and skills required to perform the role effectively.
