In support of IMSAf’s ongoing efforts to enhance organisational performance and provide employee development opportunities, the company is pleased to invite applications for Quality Systems Engineer in the Manufacturing Department.
The role of the Quality Systems Engineer is to encourage and entrench a customer focused approach to decision making throughout the vehicle development process and to achieve the quality objectives (at Launch) by using established quality processes and tools in conjunction with customer quality data, problem solving and influencing skills as well as organizational agility.
Minimum Requirements

National Diploma in Quality or Engineering
-
5 Years working experience in an Engineering or Manufacturing function.

Experience in the implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems, e.g. ISO 9001

Knowledge and Experience in conducting Quality Management System internal audits and coordination of third party audits.

Knowledge of automotive business processes and customer expectations would be advantageous

Valid code B driver's license, however code EC driver's licence would be advantageous.

Good problem solving and decision making skills.

Good auditing skills.

Good level of vehicle knowledge to support vehicle evaluation and problem identification.

Ability to work under pressure.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop Program Quality Plan
- Document high level plan reflecting program quality deliverables e.g., QAP / CTF / PQRR.

Execute Program Quality Readiness Reviews (PQRR)
- Highlight Quality gaps and timing slippages to the PQRR team.
- Engage all FAs at the pre-PQRR to gauge readiness for a green PQRR.

Execute Program Quality Assessment Process (QAP)
- Schedule QAP vehicles in line with program content and timing.
- Advance vehicle to Product Engineering after completion in Manufacturing.
- Lead the determination of warranty related issues on QAP vehicles.
- Support management reviews and the development of action plans to resolve issues.

Coordinate and lead Captured Test Fleet (CTF) Program
- Lead the quality problem identification process, including communication, alarm and escalation process as well as problem tracking.
- Ensure that countermeasures are put in place for all CTF issues.

Co-ordinate Program Early Warning Process
- Initiate notification to Dealer network
- Co-ordinate review of reported quality issues
- Ensure countermeasures are implemented

Co-ordinate Pre Production Retrofits
- Compile Retrofit list.
- Assign item Champions.
- Support Champions obtaining required parts for retrofit

Coordinate implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Conduct ongoing internal audits and management reviews.
- Coordinate third party audits and drive non-conformances to closure.
- Maintain QMS documentation.
- Support departmental QMS representatives.
- Coordinate steering committees.

Co-ordinate the Record Retention Management (RRM) activities within Manufacturing.
- Co-ordinate the annual compliance review within Manufacturing.
- Implement & maintain the Record Identification Matrix (RIM).
- Provide guidance to the Department with respect to record classifications, retention periods, folder naming conventions etc.

Effective execution of IMS QIS
- Ensure IMS deliverables/statements are fully implemented and maintained by participating in Go & See Shop audits and plant Calibrations.
