An exciting opportunity has become available for a Raw Materials Procurement & Inventory Coordinator in Durban.
We are looking for a highly organized and results-driven Raw Materials Procurement & Inventory Coordinator to oversee the sourcing, purchasing, inventory management, and supplier performance of fabrics, trims, and other raw materials.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that production requirements are met through the timely procurement and allocation of materials while maintaining optimal stock levels and cost efficiencies.
Key responsibilities include raising purchase orders, negotiating pricing with suppliers, tracking deliveries, managing stock allocations, maintaining accurate inventory records, and updating procurement and production systems.
The role also involves close collaboration with production, design, and sales teams to ensure material availability, effective communication of deliveries, and the resolution of any supply or quality-related issues.
The ideal candidate will possess strong procurement and inventory management experience, excellent attention to detail, sound administrative skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a proactive approach to supplier management and stock control.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (Non-negotiable):
Microsoft excel - Intermediate level
Clothing production or related – 5 Years minimum
Sync software – Minimum 2 years
Fabric & trims sourcing
