We're expanding our sales team and looking for a driven, personable agent who wants to build a real career in South African property — not just close a deal and move on.

The Role

As a Real Estate Agent at Lofty Properties, you'll manage the field rentals operations and the full property sales journey: sourcing listings, marketing properties, guiding buyers and sellers, negotiating offers, and closing transactions — all while staying compliant with South African property legislation and delivering a client experience people actually rave about.

What You'll Do

Sales

· Source new listings through networking, referrals, farming areas, and lead follow-up

· Conduct property viewings, show houses, and advise clients on pricing and positioning

· Draft and present Offers to Purchase, and guide clients through negotiation to sale

· Build and maintain a pipeline of buyers and sellers

Rentals

· Manage field rentals operations, including sourcing rental stock and matching tenants to suitable properties

· Conduct tenant vetting, including credit and reference checks, in line with agency and legislative requirements

· Draft, negotiate, and finalise lease agreements between landlords and tenants

· Ensure full compliance with the Rental Housing Act, including deposit handling, lease terms, and dispute resolution processes

· Manage move-in/move-out inspections and coordinate with landlords on maintenance and property condition issues

· Maintain strong landlord relationships to secure repeat rental mandates

General

· Market listings across digital platforms, social media, and the Lofty Properties network

· Ensure all transactions comply with the Property Practitioners Act, FICA, and Consumer Protection Act

· Maintain accurate records of mandates, offers, leases, and client communications

· Deliver exceptional, honest service that builds long-term client relationships and referrals

What You'll Need

• Valid Fidelity Fund Certificate (FFC), or actively working toward one, issued by the PPRA
• NQF4 in Real Estate (or willingness to complete it) — advantageous
• A valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable with a commission-based income structure
• Sound knowledge of local property market trends and neighbourhoods
• Familiarity with the Rental Housing Act and Consumer Protection Act is a plus
• Proficiency with property listing platforms (e.g. Property24, Private Property) and basic digital marketing tools
• Prior real estate sales experience is beneficial, but we welcome ambitious newcomers with the right drive
