Job Vacancy: Receiving Manager
Location: Centurion, Gauteng
Working Hours: Retail hours (Includes shift work, weekends, and public holidays)
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable Receiving Manager to oversee our stock intake operations in Centurion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the secure receipt, verification, and logging of all incoming merchandise, ensuring that inventory controls are strictly maintained in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inbound Logistics: Oversee the daily offloading and intake of delivery trucks and supplier vehicles.
- Verification & Quality Control: Check incoming stock against delivery notes and purchase orders for correct quantities, pricing, and damages.
- Inventory Systems: Process goods-received notes (GRNs) on the inventory system and update stock records accurately.
- Discrepancy Management: Identify, log, and report any stock variances, short-deliveries, or damaged items to suppliers and head office.
- Warehouse Organization: Ensure the receiving bay remains clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Job Requirements
- Location: Must reside in Centurion or have reliable personal transportation to accommodate retail shift schedules.
- Experience: Previous supervisory experience in retail receiving, warehousing, or stock control is highly advantageous.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in inventory software (e.g., POS or ERP systems), excellent numerical skills, and attention to detail.
- Attributes: High level of integrity, physical fitness to handle stock when necessary, and strong communication skills to manage suppliers.
Pay: R12 000,00 - R15 000,00 per month
Work Location: In person
