Job description

Position Summary

The Receptionist / Guest Relations Host is the primary point of contact for guests and is responsible for creating a warm, personalised and memorable experience from reservation through departure. This role combines reception, concierge, reservations, breakfast service and operational support.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Relations

Welcome guests on arrival.
Conduct efficient check-in and check-out.
Escort guests to their rooms.
Provide personalized recommendations.
Anticipate guest needs.
Resolve guest enquiries professionally.

Reservations

Process reservations.
Respond to telephone and email enquiries.
Manage OTA messaging.
Maintain guest profiles.
Upsell accommodation and experiences.

Breakfast Service

Prepare dining area before service.
Welcome guests into the breakfast room.
Serve beverages and breakfast.
Clear and reset tables.
Assist the Breakfast Chef as required.

Concierge Services

Arrange restaurant reservations.
Book wine tastings and tours.
Recommend local attractions.
Coordinate guest transport.

Administration

Daily cash handling.
Process payments.
Prepare daily reports.
Maintain reception records.

Operational Support

Assist Housekeeping during busy periods.
Conduct room checks.
Assist with turn-down service.
Maintain guest lounge presentation.

Required Skills & Experience

Hospitality qualification advantageous.

Minimum 2 years' reception or guest service experience.

Professional appearance and excellent communication skills.

Computer literacy and experience with PMS systems.

Ability to multitask in a luxury environment.

Pay: R8 500,00 per month
