Receptionist / Inbound Sales Consultant

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, professional and motivated Receptionist / Inbound Sales Consultant to join our team.

This is a dual-purpose role. You will be responsible for managing the front desk and providing excellent customer service, while also identifying and converting inbound sales opportunities that come through the business.

You will be the first point of contact for many of our customers, so confidence, professionalism and a positive attitude are essential. When an enquiry has sales potential, you will take ownership of the enquiry, understand the customer's needs, provide the relevant information and work towards closing the sale.

There is an opportunity to earn commission on qualifying sales generated and converted by you.

Key Responsibilities

Reception & Administration

• Welcome and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
• Answer, screen and direct incoming telephone calls.
• Receive and respond to general enquiries.
• Take accurate messages and ensure they are passed to the relevant person.
• Manage the reception area and ensure it is neat and professional.
• Receive and distribute correspondence, deliveries and parcels.
• Manage meeting room bookings and assist with basic office coordination.
• Maintain accurate customer and visitor records where required.
• Perform general administrative and clerical duties.
• Assist other departments with administrative tasks when required.

Inbound Sales

• Answer incoming sales enquiries professionally and promptly.
• Complete support to the sales team.
• Identify sales opportunities from incoming calls, emails, WhatsApp enquiries and other customer interactions.
• Establish the customer's needs by asking relevant questions.
• Provide customers with accurate product/service information.
• Handle objections and questions confidently.
• Convert suitable inbound enquiries into confirmed sales.
• Capture all sales leads and activities accurately on the company's CRM/system for the sales team.
• Follow up with prospective customers to maximise conversion opportunities.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers throughout the sales process.
• Achieve agreed inbound sales and conversion targets.
• Earn commission on qualifying sales according to the company's commission structure.

Requirements

• Previous receptionist, front-desk, customer service or sales experience.
• Previous telephone-based sales experience will be advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good computer literacy, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work with CRM, booking or sales systems will be advantageous.
• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent non-negotiable.
• Valid South African ID/work authorisation.
