Job description
Role Overview: Providing a welcoming and efficient experience for all guests, well-versed with the Cape Town area. This role is crucial for day-to-day reception operations, including check-ins, guest inquiries, guest relations, and ensuring a positive and friendly atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a positive and welcoming attitude.
- Manage guest check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations and payments accurately.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries about accommodation, local attractions, and backpackers policies.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, such as updating guest records and preparing daily reports.
- Promote and sell tours, activities, and backpackers events to guests.
- Assist with stock takes as and when required.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent literacy with computer software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with booking software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- A friendly, approachable, and problem-solving attitude.
- Prior experience in a hospitality or customer service role is a plus.
Location: Longstreet, Cape Town
Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8 hours per shift (includes nights, weekends, and public holidays)
