Job description
We have partnered with a dynamic and growing business that is looking for a vibrant, highly organized, and proactive Receptionist & Office Administrator to join their team. As the first point of contact, you will be the face and voice of our client's office, ensuring daily operations run smoothly and clients receive a warm welcome.
What You Will Do:
- First Impressions & Communication: Answer the main switchboard, route calls efficiently, and warmly welcome clients arriving to collect their orders.
- Logistics Coordination: Book couriers for client orders and track incoming exports and local deliveries, capturing key product serial numbers.
- Supplier Relations: Capture orders from suppliers and proactively follow up on estimated delivery times (ETAs).
- Office & Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain stock levels for office, kitchen, and cleaning supplies, requesting replenishments as needed.
- Staff Coordination: Maintain the daily employee sign-in/sign-out log.
- Admin Support: Provide general clerical assistance to management, including scanning, mailing, filing, and copying, along with other ad-hoc tasks as requested.
What We Are Looking For:
- Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Afrikaans are essential to effectively support our client’s customer base.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Office Savvy: A strong understanding of general office management procedures and administrative systems.
- Reliable Transport: A valid driver’s license and your own vehicle is highly preferred; however, having your own reliable, dedicated transport to get to and from work daily is a must.
- Attitude: A friendly, organized, and detail-oriented approach with a willingness to assist where needed.
