Career Start is seeking a vibrant, customer-centric Receptionist to join our growing in-house operations team in Cape Town. This is a premium opportunity for a highly organized professional who is ready to thrive in a structured, fast-paced corporate environment. This role is specifically focused on a polished, confident individual who will support our brand’s mission of global excellence by acting as the first point of contact for professionals looking to upgrade their careers. You will serve as our in-office brand ambassador, welcoming visitors, managing front-of-house coordination, and guiding applicants smoothly into our intake pipeline.
Daily Responsibilities
- Front-of-House Coordination: Welcome arriving candidates, workshop participants, and corporate visitors to our Cape Town center with a polished, professional, and highly encouraging demeanor.
- Inbound Inquiry Routing: Manage the central switchboard, fielding incoming phone calls and emails to provide accurate baseline information regarding our training programs and scheduling flows.
- Candidate Check-Ins: Coordinate guest arrivals and track registration lists for daily information sessions, ensuring internal database sheets are kept accurate and updated.
- General Center Administration: Maintain an immaculate presentation of the front reception zone, process incoming corporate courier documents, and handle essential digital filing and data entry.
- Schedule Coordination: Manage the internal meeting room calendar, locking in time slots for advisor-candidate consultations and core team briefings.
Requirements
- Proven Experience: A strong background as a Receptionist, Front Desk Agent, Office Administrator, or in high-end hospitality/customer service environments where structure and precision are key.
- Market Alignment: Deep comfort operating in professional, candidate-facing environments, aligning with premium service standards in the Cape Town market.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a polished, articulate, and helpful tone suited for a professional career platform.
- Tech Literacy: High proficiency navigating digital platforms, Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook), and online calendar management systems.
- Self-Direction: High intrinsic motivation, acute attention to detail, and the discipline to manage front-desk workflows independently within our structured framework.
