The Western Cape Blood Service is responsible for providing a safe and sufficient blood supply to the Western Cape, and our dynamic Marketing and PR Department is dedicated to ensuring optimal blood collections on a daily basis.
The position of the Receptionist/Switchboard Operator is situated at our Head Office, in Pinelands, and you are the first point of contact for visitors, staff, donors and stakeholders.
A vacancy exists for a Receptionist/Switchboard Operator (Grade B2)
Purpose:
- Greet visitors at our Head Office and direct them to the appropriate individuals
- Maintaining a professional reception area
- Manage switchboard operations, including call routing, message taking, announcements, and general telephone support.
- Assist with reporting, data capturing, departmental administrative support, and campaign-related administration
Requirements:
- Matric Certificate
- One year of reception/switchboard experience
- Computer literate
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent telephone skills and etiquette
- Speak and write in English. (A second language, Afrikaans or Xhosa, would be advantageous).
- Call Centre experience is advantageous.
- Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude
