Job description
A recruitment agency is seeking to employ a Recruitment Consultant / Manager to oversee the full recruitment function for local and international clients.
Job Purpose
To drive business growth within the hospitality sector by assisting local & international clients with high-quality candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management & Business Development
- Execute cold-calling campaigns to win new business from prospective clients within the hospitality sector namely hotels, restaurants, lodges etc
- Negotiate commercial terms and service level agreements (SLAs) with hiring managers.
- Conduct client briefings to analyse technical requirements, company culture, and budget boundaries.
- Maintain active networks to strengthen the company presence in the market place.
Candidate Sourcing & Management
- Draft and publish targeted job advertisements across online job boards and social media platforms.
- Headhunt passive talent using advanced search strings on professional networks like LinkedIn.
- Review incoming resumes and applications to assess foundational eligibility.
- Conduct phone and video screenings to evaluate skills, salary expectations, and cultural fit.
- Construct candidate shortlists and deliver detailed profile summaries to the hiring company.
Process Coordination & Closure
- Schedule formal interviews and manage logistics between clients and job seekers.
- Prepare job applicants by delivering tailored interview coaching and resume tips.
- Mediate job offers by managing salary, benefits, and start-date negotiations.
- Complete vetting checks including background verification, criminal checks and employment references.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Core Technical & Professional Skills
- Sales Aptitude: Proven ability to influence decision-makers and close deals
- Communication: Elite level verbal and written articulation for pitching services and interviewing diverse demographics.
- Negotiation: Competency in managing sensitive financial discussions regarding corporate fees and candidate salaries.
- Time Management: Capacity to juggle multiple overlapping recruitment pipelines simultaneously.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Degree Preference: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field is frequently preferred.
- Alternative Backgrounds: Proven success in hospitality recruitment is heavily valued in place of formal education.
- Tech Literacy: Practical proficiency using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Customer Relationship Management databases, and digital sourcing tools.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Operational awareness of national employment laws, contract compliance, and anti-discrimination policies.
Pay: R20 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month
