The Opportunity

Mventech Group is seeking an experienced Recruitment Specialist to support a high-volume, technically focused talent acquisition drive. In this role, you will be the primary recruiter for engineering and technical vacancies, partnering directly with hiring managers and the People and Performance function to deliver quality candidates at pace. This is an opportunity to make a measurable impact within a fast-growing mining and resources consultancy, where strong recruitment execution directly enables project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for technical and engineering roles, from brief intake through to offer acceptance.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop accurate, role-specific position briefs that reflect technical requirements and project context.
  • Source candidates proactively through LinkedIn, job boards, professional networks, and direct approaches to maintain a robust pipeline.
  • Screen, assess, and shortlist candidates efficiently to maintain momentum on high-volume recruitment campaigns.
  • Coordinate interviews, assessments, and feedback loops between candidates and hiring managers with minimal turnaround time.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) throughout the full recruitment lifecycle.
  • Produce regular recruitment status reports for the People and Performance function, highlighting pipeline health, time-to-fill metrics, and risks.
  • Ensure all recruitment activity complies with applicable South African labour legislation.
  • Support employer branding initiatives by delivering a professional, consistent candidate experience across all touchpoints.

Minimum Requirements

You must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or national diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of four to six years of recruitment experience, with a significant portion focused on technical or engineering disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience managing high-volume recruitment campaigns, ideally within the mining, resources, engineering, or EPCM sectors.
  • Proficiency with at least one applicant tracking system and LinkedIn Recruiter or an equivalent sourcing platform.
  • Working knowledge of South African labour legislation, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act.

It would be advantageous for you to have:

  • Experience recruiting for consulting or project-based organisations where roles are tied to specific project timelines.
  • Familiarity with Mventech’s core engineering and consulting disciplines, including EPCM, geotechnical, or mine planning functions.
  • Exposure to behavioural or competency-based interview frameworks.
  • Experience with Wamly and LinkedIn Talent Solutions
  • A postgraduate qualification or professional membership in human resources or talent management.
