Recruitment Team Manager

Role Purpose

The Recruitment Team Manager will support the training, development, and performance management of a new team of graduate recruitment consultants.

The successful candidate will initially shadow the Performance Enablement Manager to understand the Graduate Academy structure, training approach, performance standards, and reporting process. Once the graduates complete the academy, they will then manage the successful team of consultants on the live desk.

This role is ideal for someone with strong recruitment experience, a coaching mindset, and the ability to lead junior consultants in a fast-paced agency environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Shadow and support the delivery of the Graduate Academy.
• Assist with graduate onboarding, training, coaching, and progress tracking.
• Manage a team of graduate consultants once they complete the academy.
• Conduct regular one-to-ones, desk reviews, and performance check-ins.
• Monitor activity, output, quality, attendance, and overall performance.
• Coach consultants on sourcing, screening, candidate qualification, CV submissions, CRM usage, and time management.
• Ensure consultants understand and work toward agreed KPIs.
• Identify performance gaps and support improvement plans where required.
• Maintain accurate performance trackers, feedback notes, and weekly reporting.
• Work closely with the Performance Enablement Manager and brand leadership to ensure graduates are supported and held accountable.

Skills and Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years Recruitment experience, ideally within agency recruitment.
• Strong understanding of candidate delivery, sourcing, screening, and shortlisting.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, or managing junior consultants.
• Confident in recruitment KPIs and performance management.
• Strong communication and feedback skills.
• Highly organised with good attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a target-driven environment.
• Experience using CRM systems, job boards, and LinkedIn.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on recruitment professional who enjoys developing people, driving performance, and creating structure for junior consultants.

They should be supportive but firm, confident in giving feedback, and able to help graduates build the skills, discipline, and confidence needed to succeed in recruitment.

Pay: R30 000,00 - R40 000,00 per month
