Tsebo Facilities Solutions is looking for a Refreshment Attendant to provide professional refreshment, hospitality, and event support services to clients, visitors, and employees. The role is responsible for preparing and serving refreshments, supporting meetings and events, maintaining clean and well-stocked refreshment areas, and delivering excellent customer service while adhering to health, safety, hygiene, and quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
Operational Delivery
- Conduct quality inspections of meeting and event rooms and escalate issues that may affect service delivery.
- Ensure outsourced catering and event providers remove equipment and assets within agreed timeframes.
- Prepare meeting and event spaces by arranging tables, chairs, equipment, branding materials, and related resources according to client specifications.
- Ensure meeting and event rooms are cleaned, reset, and ready for use.
- Wash dishes, crockery, cutlery, and refreshment equipment where required.
- Support event execution through food and beverage service, buffet replenishment, gift bag preparation, branding setup, and guest assistance.
- Set up and maintain coffee stations and refreshment areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of all hospitality equipment and banquet areas.
- Report faulty, damaged, or unsafe equipment and furniture promptly.
- Assist with manual handling and movement of furniture and event equipment where required.
Stock Management
- Conduct regular stock counts and submit stock reports.
- Monitor stock levels and report replenishment requirements.
- Ensure all storerooms remain clean, organised, and compliant with hygiene standards.
- Minimise stock losses through responsible inventory management.
Customer Service Excellence
- Remain informed of workplace objectives and service expectations.
- Provide guidance and assistance within the workplace services environment when required.
- Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Follow up on all service requests and ensure completion within agreed timeframes.
- Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Compliance, Safety and Governance
- Adhere to the Tsebo Facilities Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Management System requirements.
- Follow all workplace safety, hygiene, and food handling standards.
- Comply with Tsebo policies, procedures, and ethical values.
- Take responsibility for personal performance and professional conduct.
- Undertake additional duties reasonably required to support business sustainability and operational effectiveness.
- Represent Tsebo professionally at all times on client premises and within the workplace.
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) manual handling requirements
- Good understanding of hospitality and refreshment service standards
- Ability to set up meeting rooms and event spaces according to client requirements
- Stock control and inventory management skills
- Basic reporting and record-keeping skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Additional language proficiency advantageous
- Ability to work with outsourced catering and event service providers
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Customer service and relationship management skills
- Ability to handle challenging customer interactions professionally
- Ability to adapt to operational changes and identify improvement opportunities
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric) compulsory
- Relevant hospitality or customer service training advantageous
Experience
- 2 to 3 years' experience in a corporate hospitality, events, meeting support, catering, or related environment
- Experience supporting meetings, conferences, and workplace hospitality services preferred
