Are you an experienced Refrigeration Technician looking to take the next step in your career with a reputable, industry-leading team in Stikland? We are seeking a skilled technician to maintain, repair, and optimize industrial and commercial refrigeration systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical refrigeration plant systems and equipment
- Conduct routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance plans
- Execute general department maintenance and oversee new/refurbishment projects
- Maintain strict adherence to the OHS Act, safety standards, and department housekeeping
Technical Requirements:
- Experience with Rack systems and controllers (Carel, Keystar, Danfoss)
- Hands-on knowledge of monitoring systems
- Experience servicing Semi-Hermetic and Scroll compressors (Bock, Bitzer)
- Deep understanding of temperature control systems, cold rooms, and freezer rooms
- Strong diagnostic and root-cause troubleshooting skills
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Certificate / Diploma / N6 (Millwright, Electrical, or Fitter & Turner) – Qualified Refrigeration Technician
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of proven experience in the refrigeration industry
- Gas Certificate: Valid gas registration (highly advantageous, even if recently expired)
- Industry Background: Experience in Retail, Hotel, or Restaurant sectors is highly beneficial
- Compliance: Sound working knowledge of the OHS Act
- License: Valid Driver’s License (Required)
Technical Experience:
Rack systems Carel
Keystar, Danfoss controllers
Worked or knowledge of monitoring systems
Worked on Semi-Hermatic compressors, Scroll compressors, Bock, Bitzer compressors
Education:
Certificate / Diploma / N6 (Millwright / Electrical / Fitter & Turner) - Qualified Refrigeration Technician
Valid gas certificate (Highly advantages) Even if it has expired
Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience
Proven history in the refrigeration industry
Comprehensive knowledge of temperature control systems
Sound working knowledge of the OHS Act
Cold room / freezer room experience essential
Strong diagnostic and root cause experience
Retail / Hotel / Restaurant industry experience highly beneficial
Valid Driver’s License
Company Offers: Basic salary, company bakkie, fuel card, cell phone and provident fund.
