Job description

Join a passionate team committed to transforming lives through God's Word, equipping churches and ministries across Africa, and amplifying African voices to impact the continent and the world. As East Africa Regional Director, you will play a strategic role in expanding the reach and influence of life-changing biblical resources throughout the region.

The East Africa Regional Director will lead relationship-building efforts with churches, denominations, ministries, donors, foundations, booksellers, distributors, educational institutions, and other strategic partners throughout the region. The role requires identifying opportunities, cultivating trusted relationships, understanding partner needs, and developing tailored solutions that align Oasis resources with ministry and discipleship objectives.

The Regional Director will oversee the full partnership lifecycle—from prospect identification and relationship development to revenue generation, project implementation, and long-term partnership growth. This includes both product sales and supporting fundraising activities, recognising that many partners have the potential to contribute in multiple ways. As a regional leader, the East Africa Regional Manager will also provide market insights, coordinate regional initiatives, strengthen distribution networks, and support the implementation of God’s Word for Africa projects throughout the region.

Key Qualifications

  • Demonstrates a vibrant Christian faith and a commitment to the mission of growing disciples through God’s Word.
  • Possesses a servant-leadership mindset and a passion for seeing lives transformed through Scripture.
  • Appreciates and respects the cultural diversity of East Africa and can effectively engage cross-cultural audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, International Development, Theology, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in relationship management, partnership development, sales, fundraising, business development, ministry leadership, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and building strategic partnerships.
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to work independently and remotely.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout East Africa and occasionally internationally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and cultivate strategic long-term partners across East Africa (including but not limited to churches, denominations, NGOs, educational institutions, Christian networks, foundations, and major donors).
  • Represent Oasis at conferences, exhibitions, ministry events, and strategic gatherings.
  • Achieve or exceed annual sales and fundraising goals for the region.
  • Promote and sell Oasis Bibles, books, and discipleship resources to key customers and ministry partners. (www.oasisinternationalpublishing.com)

  • Lead the identification, development, and implementation of God’s Word for Africa projects within East Africa. (www.godswordforafrica.com)
  • Recruit project applicants, coordinate stakeholders, secure donor support for approved projects, and communicate impact stories once completed.
  • Strengthen and expand regional distribution channels for Oasis resources.
  • Develop relationships with booksellers, distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners.
  • Identify new market opportunities and emerging trends within the region.
  • Conduct in-person meetings, virtual calls, presentations, and follow-up communications.
