Job description

Location: Polokwane (base depot), other depots under this management: Nelspruit, Witbank, Groblersdal, Tzaneen, Standerton, Vereeniging, Phuthaditjhaba & Alrode

We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance and facilities operations. If you're passionate about fleet maintenance, team leadership, and operational excellence, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

As the head of maintenance and facilities, you will:

Oversee planned maintenance to meet operational objectives and customer requirements
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and housekeeping protocols across all sites
Manage preventative maintenance systems for fleet, facilities, and equipment
Control budgets, costs, and absenteeism effectively
Monitor and report on KPIs, ensuring targets are met
Drive profitable growth through operational efficiency and innovation
Conduct regular inspections to uphold workmanship and service standards
Maintain structured operational meetings and reporting routines
Collaborate with HR on recruitment and training initiatives
Ensure accountability for equipment, facilities, and fixed assets
Manage discipline, manpower, and shift schedules within the department
Oversee administrative functions, parts ordering, and service sign-offs

Requirements

Grade 12 and qualified Diesel Mechanic
Proven expertise in fleet maintenance and management
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role within maintenance/logistics
Valid South African ID and driver’s license
Must reside in Polokwane and be willing to travel to other depots
